I'm hosting a German Korean forum, so I get many referers from search engines using either German or Korean characters. I enabled decodeutfkeys, but now all Korean text is transformed into question marks. Why doesn't Awstats use UTF-8 from the start? I think, in 2006 we should leave the dark ages of different page encodings behind us as soon as possible.
to Johannes Barre (igel) :
respect, it will be very useful feature
Korean Yahoo uses euc-kr. So you must convert it to utf-8.
Maybe Dark Age will continue a little bit.
Does anybody have a way to "enable" utf-8 in awstats ?
Is the data even stored in the log files in a readable form?
I made a quick hack to convert the txt files on a linux which has "recode" command installed.
