AW Stats spews out server information if it can't find the config file. Not only does it spit out filenames, but more importantly folders on the server. This perl one liner fixes the problem, that is, if you also think this is a problem like I do.
perl -ni -e 'print unless /^\sif . !\$FileConfig/ .. /^\s+}/; print $_.qq/\t\terror("Could not open config file");\n\t}\n/ if /^\sif . !\$FileConfig/;' wwwroot/cgi-bin/awstats.pl
