The option "Keep / Transcode DVD Compliant Video" is not clear. Does checking it mean to keep or to transcode?

Furthermore, it would be great to have an option to _force_ keeping the input stream (and thus not to transcode) even if the stream is not fully DVD-compliant.

Anyway, many thanks for your nice program.

Greetings,

Carsten

About "Keep / Transcode DVD Compliant Video", I will add a more detailed tooltip on the checkbox and I will be more "verbose" in the Help section.

About keeping a non DVD-compliant stream, I am sorry it is not possible: MuxMan (the authoring tool used by AVStoDVD) accepts only DVD-compliant strams. By the way, which is the purpose of such a feature?

    Thanks for the inputs

About forcing to keep the input stream: DVB-T receivers put out a MPEG-stream that is not fully DVD-compliant, but reportedly most (if not every) players accept the streams. Thus, it would be possible to keep the stream without the need to transcode it.

Update: I tried the same procedure with another program, "GUI for DVDauthor".

It uses muxman, too, and everything worked wine. The resulting DVD is playable.

So pleeeeeease, make it possible to keep the stream, even if it is not fully compliant :)

    Thank you,

    Carsten

    Hi Carsten,

could you please send me a short sample (20-30 seconds) of your "not-fully-DVD-compliant" mpeg2 file? Just to make some test how to keep that format.
