#1 Only microsoft-specific installer package provided

I have downloaded the package provided in the downloads section only to find out it contains a windows installer and setup files. This isn't mentioned anywhere, even though SourceForge allows to specify target architecture as win32.

I believe this approach is limiting the target audience of your project. I can see absolutely no reason why a programming library like this would require distribution through windows installer. Simple zip archive would suffice, and would allow developers using non-microsoft systems to access your library.
