#4 Battery Problem disappeared with AvOS

I was one of those people that began using my av340
the first time i plugged it in without letting it charge for
4 hours first, and apparently lowering the capacity of
the internal battery...
The Archos software seems to shut down the av340 a
lot sooner than the avOS software though and up until i
installed the avOS software i really thought there was a
physical problem with the battery.
Now though, im thinking it's just the Archos software
that isn't reading the battery meter properly. Has
anyone else experienced low battery time with the
Archos v2.0.02 ? I tried emailing them about it and they
said it was a hardware problem and that the av340
would have to be sent back to them for repair...
