Overlay does not seem to support blended alpha
(semi-transparent) channels with the ShowAlpha
function. ImageSource needs support for importing
alpha channels.

    Could you post more info? Script, etc?

    In http://www.avisynth.org/Overlay i added a bunch of examples,
    it seems to work there.

    Try this plugin: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?

    I have tried immaread, and re-read the example tutorials.
    Thank you for the information on immaread. Still not
    working. I need to go into further detail.

    Hopefully the examples that I have provided are sufficient.
    I will keep checking back if you have any questions.

    look like

    ## script example ##
    back1 = ImageReader("a.png")
    front1 = ImageReader("b.png").ConvertToRGB32
    Overlay(back1, front1, mask = ShowAlpha(front))

    back2 = immaread("D:\working\avs_test\a.png")
    front2 = immaread("D:\working\avs_test\b.png")
    Overlay(back2, front2)

    My apologies, immaread does work with
    mask = ShowAlpha(clip)
    I erroneously forgot this on the second example provided.

    Thank you very much!
