Hello!

After a quick search in Google and your forum I could not find something relevant, so I created a new ticket. If this has been asked before, please point me to the appropriate thread.

I recently updated Avidemux from 2.6 to version 2.7 in order to support AVI videos compressed with the x265vfw codec. I have no problem working with videos with latin filenames, I open the source video, make the changes I need (usually changing the audio format keeping the video part intact) and then save the video with another name. The problem arises when I want to work with videos containing Greek characters in the filename. While I see the folders and filenames with proper Greek characters, once I try to save the result with Greek characters in the filename I get random symbols instead. As a result I need to browse to the folder using Windows File Explorer and manually rename the video with proper Greek characters before I can use it. This is not very convenient especially when working with many files and then I cannot tell which video is which until I play it and see the contents! I had a look at the program menus but could not find something relevant (like setting the font or code page). Is there some workaround? The same problem arises in both the 32-bit and the 64-bit version and if I either use the English or Greek interface makes no difference. I don't remember having this problem in version 2.6, but of course I would prefer keep using version 2.7 rather than go back to 2.6

Thank you in advance

PS: If that matters, I run Avidemux in Windows 10 Pro 64-bit EN-US version with Greek keyboard layout as secondary (primary is US).
