I used avidemux 2.8.1 on Ubuntu 20.04 on an AMD FX 4300 processor platform. No problem.
After upgrade to 22.04 avidemux crashes on startup (shortly GUI visible):

I thought maybe my system took the upgrade to 22.04 not very well so I used a system-harddisk from a functioning avidemux 2.8.1 on an Intel Ubuntu 22.04 system and swapped it in the AMD FX 4300. Instant crash.

I also compiled the sources from here on the FX 4300 system. I think it was avidemux 2.8.2. Same error.

The 2.8.1 app.image doesn't run as well. Working is only the app.image for legacy systems.

I don't know what is happening here. Is in some (needed) library from ubuntu 22.04 AMD FX support dropped? 2.8.1. did in fact run on the libraries of ubuntu 20.04.

Thx for reading.

Same issue on Debian 12; used to work just fine...some update probably hosed avidemux... FIX??

    Intel w/Nvidia Graphics.
