Does anybody dig out some info about protocol used for debugging new small AVRs? Ted, please e-mail me address of that Atmel employee, I would try to ask him for it. I have a DIY clone of jtagice mkI (opto-isolated one) and I am not going to buy new mkII just for debugging ATmega 48, 88 and 168. So my dream is write alternative firmware for jtagice mkI to handle just one wire debug (and you can reload Atmel's firmware back for JTAG operation). I hope that more hobbyists (like me) would appreciate much cheaper way to smooth debugging (and I'm sure that Atmels revenues would not fall down). So if you can help convince Atmel not to conceal protocols for our favorite MCUs please do. And if you have a mkII, logic analyser and reverse ingeneering is your hobby, try to break the mystery.
