I had a crystal on there, but it seems like the '324P's driver won't start up. I tried feeding an external clock source (a 1 - 2 MHz sine and square wave) into XTAL1, as if it were being clocked from an external source, but that's not working, either. The datasheet calls out a specific mode for external sources. I suppose I can put it in my STK500 board, but I don't have Windows readily available to run Atmel's tools. -- Rick |
