I would recommend that you download the source, set it up (see INSTALL file,) look at the TODO file, and try to do one of the entries. For example, a fairly simple subsytem to work on would be the "Features Management." What that should do is to allow the user to manipulate the data in the `features` table in the database. If you want to start off on something a little lighter, the item "Hacker proofing" (which should be really called cracker proofing) might be what you are looking for. It's basically just generic clean up of the code. I know that there are some portions of the code that aren't ideally made, or they are outright useless. The above mentioned ideas are just suggestions; feel free to work on any part of the program you want. If you don't understand something, or want something clarified, let me know via the mailing list. This way, others can benefit from it. Thanks, Jeff. P.S. AV Admin is in the early stages of development, and the code can change drastically. (It did twice already since 0.10-pre1.) - -- Real Programmers consider "what you see is what you get" to be just as bad a concept in Text Editors as it is in women. No, the Real Programmer wants a "you asked for it, you got it" text editor -- complicated, cryptic, powerful, unforgiving, dangerous. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAdgoxwFP0+seVj/4RAvACAKCyN+6z6xheCE1GApjS42FavYLjVwCggSuX xv2eewx9djAIJTFkRM+pxt4= =TziP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
