Hello, I've been searching all over for the system requirements for AVA-SBS and can't find anything. I stumbled across the 512 MB memory requirement, but can't even re-locate that. Can anyone tell me what they are if there are any? well its been a long while since I have had anything out at sourceforge. AVA still needs allot of work ( mostly with the web interface ) I am sorry I have not dedicated more time to AVA lately but I have been very busy with family priorities. Most of you are not aware but a few months ago me and my wife found out that my daughter ( Ava ) who was already servery deaf, has lost most of what hearing she had. All is looking up now and she has been approved for a cochlear implant, which she will receive next month. Tonight I am releasing this in the hope that someone out there will have the time and talent to help me finish some of the web development. this install is for CentOS or Scientific Linux. If there is anyone out there with some web dev talent who wants to help please speak up. |

Ok I have some ideas I would like to through out and hear what other people have to say. During the time I have worked with AVA one big issue that I have focused o= n is is customization. I believe that if a company puts a server in place, on= e should be able to easily integrate the new web interface, of the groupware, into an existing intranet. When implemented it should be seamless. If not seamless it should offer tools to allow easy manipulation of either the groupware suit or the existing intranet. I have been spending allot of time getting familiar with that Java calls within OX. This has been necessary to allow manipulation of the server side code for the new web layout I have been working on. Through this familiarit= y I have come to the conclusion that it might be possible to integrate the current web interface into Drupal. If we could use the Druple CMS system fo= r the front end work on the web utilities we could archive a customization capability far better anything else available today for groupware or communityware. We could even utilize the Ajax plugins from within Drupal to push the interface far beyond what is available even though OX 5. Remember these are only ideas and I have not spent much time researching weather this will even work as I hope. This would also require completely thoughing out the current web interface for OX and rebuilding a new one fro= m within Drupal. To top that off I would more then likely have to rewrite par= t of every lava call to make it utilize xhtml rather then html. Well like I said it is just an idea let me know what everyone thinks? |

I have to say that i really like the new look and feel, it is more clean cut. The one thing I would like to have is a backup feature :-) Keep up the good work Met Hartelijke Groet, Rolf -- Rolf Bosscha Mail: rol...@gm... AOL/Google Talk: rolfbosscha/rol...@gm...
