I installed AutoTypeSerch on ubuntu 20.04 with Keepass 2.x and don't see auto-type working.
So asking is it a bug or soem configurable option?

Is the plugin loaded successfully? Or do you see some error message? If it is loaded successfully, do you have the option to show on a failed auto-type enabled, or are you trying to use a dedicated hotkey? On Linux, it isn't possible for AutoTypeSearch to register a global hotkey, so you have to handle that yourself and make it run KeePass passing "/e1:AutoTypeSearch"
as a command line parameter.
