I think a useful feature would be to allow for multiple hotkeys to spawn the auto type search, with each resulting in different sequences. There is a plugin "Advanced Auto-Type" which does something similar, but doesn't integrate with this tool's searching capability.
The use case I see being most useful is for cases when you only need a username or only need a password, the search could be spawned by things like Ctrl+Alt+A (for the default sequence), Ctrl+Alt+U (for only the username), or Ctrl+Alt+P (for only the password).
Note: Another way to resolve this use case is with the ability to have multiple alternate actions and a "username only" option.
I'm not sure if this is too out of scope for this plugin or not, but would greatly reduce the need to specifically configure all of your entries to work for specific webpage and app designs.
(btw: I love the plugin, it makes KeePass all the more usable)
I assume you have tried the Alternative Action option? This allows you to have one additional action (for just the password) triggered by Shift+Enter rather than Enter. If you really need more options, I'd suggest setting alternative action to Show Entry, and then from that you can do whatever action you like.
Thank you for the idea, but I think being able to define multiple different hotkeys all of which spawn AutoTypeSearch in different modes is more complex than I want, for this plugin.
