Need to wrap the calls to dlopen to support Mac OS X's native library
loading techniques.

I changed the way I load libraries to use libtool's wrapper (libltdl --
lt_dlopen) which should be portable to OS X.  However, I have no box to
test it.  Anyone have one handy?
