Hi Hugo, =20 > I visited your site. Very cool ! Can you give us some more data about the stereo camera you are using ? =20 Thanks and yes I can. =20 We actually used 2 - 1/3 inch color CCD board cameras with external sync capability. Then we designed a board the cameras interface to that will provide either 2 - 2D video streams or 1 - 3D field interlaced and 1 - 2D video stream. The idea was to be able to accommodate any combination of 2D or 3D video in either 1 or 2 video streams depending on the need. The output in either case is a standard color NTSC composite video at 1vpp 75ohm terminated. =20 If you are interested in schematics and board design we are not ready to release those just yet but the actual boards and cameras will be available for purchase in the near future. We are still finalizing some of the module to module interfacing and some of the MCU programming support in the HUD module. =20 Regards Rick =20 =20 -----Original Message----- From: Hugo Marien [mailto:h.m...@pa...]=20 Sent: Friday, May 23, 2003 2:08 PM To: aut...@li... We have the 2D/3D color video hardware designed and tested and are currently developing the code to run the HUD. The hardware for that is also designed and in the testing stages now. We are also designing a telemetry module for pressure altitude and airspeed as well as a GPS interface, engine and rotor RPM among other things. We were also thinking about an IMU. However since finding the autopilot UAV project, that might be redundant. =20 We have started a web site at www.tsg1.com <http://www.tsg1.com/> for our project. It is not yet complete due to time constraints but there is enough information there to get an idea of what we are doing. There is some live initial test video (quality of recorded video does not do justice to the actual live video quality. It was done in a hurry, we will be putting some new video up soon) on the site on the Archive page. =20 Our main interest in the autopilot project would be to use the sensor data to drive the HUD for the artificial horizon and compass display among other things. =20 We are currently using the Atmel AVR ATmega128 MCU for our HUD and Telemetry modules. =20 I have seen several requests from interested parties wanting to know which software to download to work with the Rotomotion 2.4 6DOF hardware but I have never seen a response. I guess I have the same need. I am also interested in the software being converted to run on the AVR MCU. =20 Anyone interested in my R/C helicopter project is welcome to e-mail me or post on our list at http://www.tsg1.com/index.php.=20 =20 This is all really cool stuff. =20 Rick Steele rms...@st... =20 =20 |
