I have a few questions that should be easy to answer.
1) Is there a limit on the number if characters in a configuration variable?
I have an exclusion list that is 1005 characters long. I'm afraid that this will break the backup.
2) Is there a NOT syntax for the exclude list?
My exclude list would be shorter if I could do something like this...
CONFIG_table_exclude=( * !bugs !bugs_activity )
but this may fail for a number of reasons. The wildcard may take precedence over the exclusion. I also don’t know if the exclusions will work since this I would be excluding a file from the exclusion list.
3) Finally, can the config file reference a local file?
I like the feature on postfix where I can point to a local file, or even a local database file. Postfix has the postmap command that makes a text file into berkely db lookup table for quicker access, but evem just pointing to a file with a bunch of names in it is fine if it’s supported.
