We ran it on rhel 5 and 6 and mktemp does not line the pattern replacement XXXX in the midle of the string. Also some box diff died with error: Memory exausted. I patch it to have an option to use rdiff and the error goes away
Patched against automysqlbackup script in automysqlbackup-v3.0_rc6.tar.gz
