[Automysqlbackup-users] Automysqlbackup as CGI script

My hosting service says that all cron jobs have to be cgi scripts.  Can 
I just put my automysqlbackup in the cgi-bin folder or do I have to put 
it there and change the suffix from .sh to .cgi.  I am a new subscriber 
to the list and Sourcforge is down right now so I cannot search the 
archives for this topic.  My apologies if this has been discussed before.

I have never tried to run it that way so I am not sure if it will 
work... I guess that as long as the required utilities can be executed 
and the directories accessed for the CGI execution it should work but 
your ISP may not allow it to call external utilities or write to the 
backup directory..
