exit code 93? Why not 75? I don't see a standard definition for 93 anyway. I'll rework this to emit a much more comprehensible error message.
It sure has been a long time since I've fiddled this stuff!!
I did some testing with your version of the patch and it also seems to work fine. Did not test the race part.
