Good Day I'm very appreciative of your utility. It has enabled me to set things up here with little effort and made the scheduling system very useful. However, I'm now stuck on a problem. I've created a new user/mailbox and have attempted to configure it with the auto-accept sink utility. When I attempt the configuration, upon clicking on 'configure now' I receive a response of "Error checking AutoAccept folder existence for GoTo Meeting. Error 80070005: Access is denied." I've adjusted permissions on the associated mailbox several times, I've deleted and re-created the object, I've tried everything I can think of - is there something I'm missing here? Hello, I am trying to install your autoaccept tool on an Exchange server 2003 running on a cluster. When a try to configure one mailbox I receive a message indicationg that the mailbox is not on the server on which I am running the installation/configuration program. I have tried to logon on the active node of the cluster or on the virtual server with the same result. Do you think that it is in relation with the cluster or with something else? Thanks for any help. Jean-Luc Bailly |

I have found this wonderful voice recognition software. http://cmusphinx.sourceforge.net/. Based on the Carnegie Mellon University demo of conference room scheduling. I would like to incorporate this in my environment. I have not looked into this fully yet but I immediately see some road blocks using Exchange as the server. I can make the system send an email to a mailbox but I guess what I need to understand is how will I know if the room is available? Does anyone have any direction on this? Thanks Curt |

Members of this fairly small community - i have a few questions: = 1 - i have setup and made a few tweaks to the existing code which is, as Daniel Lundeen points out, far superior to what is available from Microsoft's template. Has anyone done any comparison or investigation into how much slower (which it is likely nominally as it has more flow and debug logic built in than one might need) over a striped down version you might build using Microsoft's template. Daniel - you have an environment that is approximately an order of magnitude greater than ours - might i ask how many mailservers the 800 mailboxes are distributed accross? We'll initially be running the sink on a single server hosting ~90 mailboxes dedicated to our conference rooms. = 2 - after i went through this learning process, i decided that, given our core information architecture, it would be best served in C#. Thus, i have embarked on an effort to translate this code, in its entirety, to C# using .Net 2.0 - has anyone else done this? So far, i have translated most of the code, with the exception of the code in modADAccess used to find the global catalog which in turn is only used to determine the mail address for including the organizer's email address - which i have for now, decided not to support. I am stepping through the compile and build process, cleaning up my ~200 errors in translation. Has anyone gone through this excercise? Explored it? Laughed it off as an absurd idea? = 3 - What improvements have people made - Daniel - you mentioned you made a few changes - might you share a patch or point out the specific areas you touched and improved? = = Thank you in advance. = Cord ............................................................ Thank you for the response. I could not figure out the permissions, so I deleted the autoacceptsink user account that was moved to the new server. I created a new one on the new server. Kris, As far as I know the only documentation there is, is what is on the WEB site and in the downloads. Again, as far as I know the project is NOT being worked on and I haven't been successful in contacting the original author (David Mills.) As for support, there isn't any that I know of, other then this list, unfortunately I haven't seen any assistance provided (except occasionally by me) via posts to this list. =20 Just so you know: We've been running the AutoAccept Sink for about 1 year (migrated from Robert Strong's AutoAccept event script on 5.5.) Globally we have about 40,000 recipients. Approximately 800 mailboxes are running the AutoAccept Sink (all located on a US server, but servicing calendars worldwide.) I've only seen 2 "real" problems: 1. COM+ quits responding, have to deinstall/reinstall it. (I think there is a post about it) 2. Amount of Free/Busy to publish would always reverts to 3 months. (CDO problem, I have a registry hack to fix that.) =20 Also note: I've made several changes to the code that we are running. Some are "enhancements" (like to allow you to limit the duration of a request in hours or limit how far in advance a request can be scheduled), some are what I consider "fixes" (like limiting recurring appts, the original code calculated the date from the first instance rather then the request date.) There are also things I'd like to do, like: some way to clean out existing (old) items in the mailboxes, create a report on the AA mailboxes, etc. =20 Lastly, I'd like to get an idea of how may people are using this product. If there is enough interest, perhaps we can get an informal support network going. It's certainly a lot better then what MS offers in their product and/or samples. =20 Dan =20 ________________________________ From: aut...@li... Now the sink tells him that he connot book the resource, and it does not show up in anyone else's calendars ( like the potential invitees ), but it remains on the initiators calendar unless he deletes it. =20 Is this a bug, or is it just a Outlook ( ? feature), thanks, Mike |

Hard to tell from the information provided, but I'm pretty sure it really doesn't have anything to do with the AutoAccept sink (except that it autorespond,) more likely something about the exchange configuration or routing or addressing. The Subject indicates that the message sent to the AA mailbox was a plain text message and not a meeting request, since that's the subject line the AA responds with in that case. The NDR itself is because the message is trying to get to pos...@in... <mailto:pos...@in...> which apparently is not a valid address in your organization. =20 I'd guess that the message was sent from that postmaster address (or at least tagged with it), AA responded, but the message couldn't get there, so it NDR'd back to the AA mailbox, AA responded again and on and on. I'd further guess that the mailbox you were using was probably that postmaster mailbox and exchange is configured to dump a copy of all NDR's there. =20 Did you have "Record Transactions ...." turned on in the configuration? If so the messages there may give a clue. If you create a profile for the mailbox, can you mail to the postmaster address? =20 Dan =20 ________________________________ From: aut...@li... I have been using AutoAccept Agent for quite some time (one year or
more). On occasion, a mailbox just stops confirming. Not all mailboxes
registered by one or two maybe. In the past, I had to unregister the
mailbox and re-register the mailbox and that resolved it. When that
didn't resolve it, I had to un-install Auto Accept and re-install and
re-register the mailboxes. Well, the problem has occurred AGAIN, but
none of the previous resolutions are working.
=20
I get the following error when I try to register a mailbox:
Error Committing Transaction -2141913011 Event Registration Failure: The

=20
I have verified the security credential of the COM+ Application
I have confirmed that the account that I am trying to register the
mailbox under has 'Full Mailbox Rights' to the mailbox
=20
Also, when I go to the COM+ application and try to do a 'Start' (because
it appears that it is not started), I get the following error:

I have checked the logs for any assistance. When I try to register (and
it fails) a log event occurs simultaneously referring to DCOM. The
server {xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xx} did not register with

I researched this and all references point to Citrix Terminal Server, I

I noticed the same thing on my Exchange 2003 systems. It appears to be an issue with the locking mechanism in the AuotAccept program and with the multi-threaded nature of Exchange event sinks (the real problem could be that Exchange allows the sink to fire on the same message more then once.) In the OnSave routine a check is done to determine if a sink is running on any messages in the current mailbox (makes sense because you'd want to do them sequentially.) Basically it uses a flag that it writes into the message before it begins processing the message. When the sink fires it checks for the existence of that flag in ANY of the messages in the inbox, if one it found then it waits until that flag is cleared indicating that, that message is done processing. The problem you seeing seems to occur when apparently the sink fires on a message more then once, the second instance sits and waits until the first on has completed, but when it resumes the original message has been deleted, hence the error. =20 I believe you'll find that if you could check the mailbox where the error occurred you'd find that one of the trace messages will indicate that the request was processed correctly even though you received the error. =20 I can send you my version of the OnSave routine if you like, but be aware that I have changed a number of things in both the Sink dll and the config program, so you might not be able to just cut and paste it in before recompiling. =20 Dan =20 =20 ________________________________ From: aut...@li... I found the solution in the Bugs section of SF... copy the autoacceptsink.dll to the same directory as the autoacceptconf.exe Rob > _____________________________________________=20 > From: Bratton, Robert =20 > Sent: Wednesday, June 08, 2005 3:05 PM > To: 'aut...@li...' > Subject: Setup of AutoAcceptSink on Exchange 2003 on Windows > Server 2003 >=20 > I'm trying to set up AutoAcceptSink 0.6.0.1 on Exchange 2003 on > Windows Server Std. 2003. >=20 > I've set up an account, AutoAccept, as documented in the instructions. >=20 > I ran the config tool and did the following steps on my Exchange > server while logged in as a domain admin user: > 1) Global Settings > -SMTP Pickup: C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\PickUp\ > -AutoAccept Directory: E:\autoaccept-sink-0.6.0.1\src\AutoAcceptConf\ > -(left all defaults) > 2) Configure COM+ > -entered domain name and password and clicked Create COM+Registration > -Got "Error 80110401: Errors encountered accessing one or more objects > - the ErrorInfo collection may have more detail" > -I also tried a domain admin account and got the same error. >=20 > Any ideas? >=20 > Thanks, > Rob > -=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D- > Robert Bratton, Sr. Systems Engineer > Precision Therapeutics, Inc. >=20 > "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. I'm trying to set up AutoAcceptSink 0.6.0.1 on Exchange 2003 on Windows Server Std. 2003. I've set up an account, AutoAccept, as documented in the instructions. I ran the config tool and did the following steps on my Exchange server while logged in as a domain admin user: 1) Global Settings -SMTP Pickup: C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\PickUp\ -AutoAccept Directory: E:\autoaccept-sink-0.6.0.1\src\AutoAcceptConf\ -(left all defaults) 2) Configure COM+ -entered domain name and password and clicked Create COM+Registration -Got "Error 80110401: Errors encountered accessing one or more objects - the ErrorInfo collection may have more detail" -I also tried a domain admin account and got the same error. Any ideas? Thanks, Rob -=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D- Robert Bratton, Sr. Systems Engineer Precision Therapeutics, Inc. "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. You'd have to change the code to do that, it's in the IExStoreAsyncEvents_OnSave routine (search for "Invalid message"). I don't know why you'd want to do that, since you don't want people logging into the resource anyway (Outlook has a nasty habit of altering meeting requests on arrival, which causes the sink to fail.) But if you really want to I'd suggest making it a mailbox configuration option, probably set it up the same way "bGetConfig" works (that's the thing that allows you to get a resources configuration by sending it a message with "getconfig" in the subject line. =20 Dan =20 =20 ________________________________ From: aut...@li...
