Already some time ago (april 2002) I have entered a patch in the SF
database, but no one has reacted on it, so here I add as an attachment.
Please note that I am not an Apache code expert, I just made this looking at
the conversion example in the Apache2 docuemtntation, so I can provide very
little support. On the other hand it works at my place.

Thanks. I may give it a try when i get some time to fiddle with this
stuff again. I'm anxious to move to Apache2, but it will be painful
without authpg.
