#44 redhat 7.3, AMD athlon and vortex 2

I am using redhat 7.3 -kernel 2.4.18-3 on AMD
athlon. I tried to intall the linux driver for aureal vortes 2
and it is not working. In the makefile there is a
path /usr/src/linux- version, but I see
only /usr/src/redhat under mine. Also it is mentioned
that it works only for intel x86. will it work for athlon?
Kindly suggest what I should do.

Not true i got i working on a AMD XP but i just cant get it
working with the new kernel
