  • After struggling with installation issues, changing workpath in lplex.ini to an actual path on my computer and replacing alignment=seamless by alignment=discrete to avoid white noise, I've made it working and obtained a nice ISO image. Lplex is doubtlessly a great tool. With a GUI, it will be like a standard CD burner that, however, writes a hi-res (up to 24/96) audio on video DVDs (with no picture, like a CD). I wonder why such software was not created before. Industry is pushing SACD and DVD-audio while DVD video at 24/96 is most probably a better practical solution because DVD video player is ubiquitous and 24/96 resolution will cover most of the needs.
