I'm trying to use audacity to record my band. My computer has one = microphone socket. I am under the impression that this is a stereo = socket but i don't know for certain. I want to simultaneously record two = mono tracks using this one stereo socket. Is this possible? I have tried it with by using a: "Two 0.25in Stereo Sockets to One 0.25in Stereo Jack, Adaptor" - quoted = from catalog Plugging two guitar leads into the two sockets, then plugging the plug = into my computer (converting to 3.5mm with a 0.25in to 3.5mm adaptor) So far this hasn't worked. Maybe I should use a: "Two 0.25in Mono Sockets to One 0.25in Stereo Jack, Adaptor" - quoted = from catalog This being two monos to one stereo. Might work? If anyone knows anything = about this, thanks in advance for your help. Simon |
