The vocal remover plug-in shipped with Audacity 1.3.x (which appears in
the menus as "Vocal Remover (for center-panned vocals)...") is a nyquist
As Nyquist is in interpreted language, the source code is the .ny file
which is distributed, so can be found in the Plug-Ins folder of your
Audacity installation. Alternatively the latest code can be retreived
from our CVS repository:
Open vocalremover.ny in the Audacity plug-ins folder in a text editor with
word wrap turned off.

Simply open vocalremover.ny in a plain text editor, make sure word wrap is
turned off if you plan on saving it for editing etc. It's written in
Nyquist, based on XLISP 2.0.
You'll find it in the Audacity plug-ins folder.
