I have no idea why, but you can check the wxWindows mailing lists for lots of testimonials to that effect. I would be more than happy to help support compiling on Windows with gcc if somebody wants to work on it. But getting it to work the first time would not be a trivial task - I estimate it would be a week's worth of work for someone who's very familiar with both Audacity, Mingw, and wxWindows. - Dominic |
