Current CVS segfaults reliably on PowerPC with the following steps: 1. Start Audacity. 2. Generate Silence. 3. Select the entire 30-sec silent track. 4. Choose the "Change Pitch..." effect. Looking in the debugger, it seems there is some sort of buffer overrun during EffectPitchChange::DeduceFrequencies, since variables get changed in unpredictable and seemingly impossible ways. I haven't been able to locate the overrun if there is one, and I don't have an i386 box to run valgrind. Can anyone with a good memory debugging tool try running it through these steps (even if they don't crash Audacity on your architecture)? |
