various effects, such as compression, crossfades, ... , can be logically
described as a volume envelope.
a) Is it possible to find the envelope equivalent of an effect?
(this could be done by applying the filter to a constant low level dc
signal in a different channel, allongside the primary channel)
b) is it possible to apply/copy the envelope from one channel to another?
on a slightly different topic, is it possible to mix multiple channels
together using simple arithmatic -- chanel 3=channel1-channel 2, or *, +,
other combinations? (if so then the dc signal trick can be used to do this.)
(what i would actually like to do is to compress one channel based on the
volume / compression envelope of another)
