I'm sorry if this is a stupid question - did you press the space
bar to play the sound file? The file does not play automatically
(like in Windows Media Player for example). to stop playback, hit
the space bar again.
You don't need VST (or any other) plug-ins to listen to your audio
One other thing - if the cursor is at the end of the track rather
than at the start, you won't hear anything when you hit the space
bar. Pushing the 'home' key moves the cursor to the start of the
track, then you can use the space bar to play.
