Hope you all don't mind a novice question(s). I've been using Audacity
for recording my music for almost two years. I'm running a PC with
plenty of power and have been fairly successful with Audacity.
I have a Behringer UB1202 (non-FX) which has served me flawlessly. I've
added a Behringer MDX 1600 compressor into the chain. But apparently, I
am not hooking up the two pieces correctly as I can get everything but
"recording" to work.
I have a Line6 Pod2.0. I'm cabled from Pod 1/4" OUT's to 1202 1/4" IN's
for my guitars.
I have 1/4" Main OUTS from the 1202 going to 1/4" IN's on the 1600 and
from the 1/4" OUT's of the 1600 I go to the PC sound card LineIn using
appropriate 1/4" to 1/8" mono adapters.
I also have XLR from mic to XLR IN on 1600, XLR OUT from 1600 to XLR IN
on 1202 console. I hear live mic when powered up. In other words the mic
is getting to the console via the XLR con's. (yet recording is not
getting to Audacity)
Was hoping someone on the list has experience with these pieces of
equipment and could enlighten me on "how to" hook them up.
Best to you all.
See ya on the tour bus
