This depends a bit on what Linux distribution you are using and who
prepared the wxgtk package you're trying to install.
In general, I would recommend against upgrading glibc unless you
know what you're doing.
It might be easiest to just compile wxgtk from source. Then it will
use whatever version of glibc you have. Just uncompress the source
sudo make install
The "make" will take a while - maybe a half-hour or more, but it
should finish without complaints.
