Matt Flax (author of MFFMTimeScale/WSOLA) sent me some audio
files processed using the newer version of WSOLA. If you're
interested in hearing them, they're now online as part of our
"Comparing pitch/tempo shifters" page.
I'm soliciting general feedback on what people think of the
different pitch/tempo shifters. If anyone has a commercial
pitch/tempo shifter and wants to compare, please send me
some processed WAV files and I'll put them online for
all to hear.
Unless we become aware of a dramatically better and free
implementation soon, the plan is to integrate either WSOLA
or SoundStretch into Audacity sometime soon, as a
non-real-time pitch/tempo changing effect.
