Thanks, Simon - the website is not available in French!
I had to run a conversion program to convert the pages
from MacRoman to iso-8859-1 (which is much more widely
If anyone has advice on how Simon could edit files in
iso-8859-1 format on the Mac, please let us know...

Everything has been translated except one paragraph of devel.php, the last part of stable.php (changes before version 0.98) and the CVS.php file which Lionel is translating. I will forward it as soon as I receive it . I'm sure there will be corrections to make, and as soon as the website is updated I will proofread everything (again). Of course, I hope that Lionel and others will let me know if they find anything. I will also compare with what Lionel did in the localisation to make sure the technical vocabulary is consistent.
> Please don't forget that all my files are in Roman character set. I did a little digging on my computer and on Apple's site and believe me or not, the most useful information I got about character sets on Mac OS9 comes from Nisus website (they make Nisus writer and Email for Mac, great software btw). I understand that on Mac OS9, there are language kits: Roman, Cyrillic, Chinese etc. There is no such thing as a Latin language kit. But the Roman character set is identified as iso 8859-1 (which is, I think, Latin-1!?). In my understanding, it does not depend on the software I use but on the operating system. If you or anyone you know can help me to find a way to get a real Latin-1 character set, please feel free! I guess this would not be a problem on OS X because of its Unix core.
