Oh, well... I guess I'm the wrong person to ask about that... We're using our own software where I'm working. I'm not sure if iDVD has a subtitling feature that comes with it. Are you planning to use it for something like a karaoke device? One of the first pieces of software I used at home was Ulead's video studio, and they have a user friendly titling track. But since I'm not a programmer I couldn't think of a way to export the track. Maybe you can ask the programmers about that issue? Best regards,

Audacity has this great LABEL TRACK feature which allows you to insert
text under words.
This sounds like a bit subtitling to me! Is there a clever way to
export a Label Track into a movie file format (QuickTIME et.) so you
can play the audio and have text subtitles? Or perhaps create a
subtitle file that will fit with various DVD authoring apps (e.g. on a
Mac in iDVD they like STL format)? Or is this a new feature?
