This compressor performs nonlinear amplification of the sound signal.
When level < 1, it works as compressor which increases loudness.
When level > 1, it works as expander.
How to use:
1. Normalize to 0dB.
2. Apply the compressor.
This compressor has only one control parameter, and, therefore, it is
easy to use.
The result of compression is a kind of psychedelic sound enhanced with
HOW IT WORKS
The magic formula of compression is very simple:
y = x*(level)^(abs(x)-1)
abs(x) means absolute value of x:
abs(x) = |x|
x = sound
y = compressed sound
