Hi - I downloaded audacity a while back (I have version 0.96) -- I forget
exactly how I found it, I think I searched Google under Sound Editor. Anyway
I'm a near total beginner when it comes to sound files and have been finding
it difficult to get around everything to do all I need to do. Audactiy seems
able to do a couple of things I need.
One, I can make a sound clip with it and fade the end of the clip. (I
figured out how to to that once. Not sure I could do it again!)
And two, I think I could use it to take a voice recording and cut out excess
But I'm having trouble even STARTING. I can't figure out how I can know
where I am in the file. Is there a cursor, and how do I locate it? I don't
see anything moving across the sound picture as the file is playing.
I don't see anything about this in your help file. I guess it's so basic it
seems it should be obvious ... but it sure isn't to me!
I'd appreciate guidance, if possible.
