About Audacity plugins:
Spreading the plugins to whatever download pages is no problem, the
more problem in my opinion is that e.g. plugins like the vocoder are
extremely tedious to use within Audacity what is based on the
unnecessary restrictions of Nyquist within Audacity like 'no multi-
channel support' (the vocoder needs to process TWO stereo tracks and
not only one) and the disability of reading and writing external files.
The Vocoder download link:
(no instructions other than that in the plugin source code available at
Other fabulous plugins:
Plugin: RFT Broadcast Limiter
Description: Der Limiter first cuts all signal peaks above the given
treshold where "rectangular" clipping edges get "rounded" to avoid ugly
digital distortion noise. At the same time the track volume gets
amplified to maximum volume (normalized).
Plugin: RFT Broadcast Limiter with Exciter
Description: the same as above but with an extra high range limiter.
Plugin: Dezibel Maximizer (adjustable Waveshaper)
Instructions within the plugin source code.
Edgar: there are some others, but not as interesting like the three above.
