To all, I am currently doing my senior project for computer science on Digital Signal Processing. I am trying to understand a few things about the FFT. 1- Initially a wav file that is imported into Audacity would be in a time-domain data. What kind of data is this? 2- After doing a bit reversal, this would put the time-domain data into a frequency domain, is this when you do most or all of the transformations? 3- I am developing in C# and I can read a wav file into an array, but I'm struggling to interpret the data stored there. Any clarifications would be helpful. 4- Do you use windowing in Audacity to reduce DFT leakage? 5- Any tricks or tips on the butterfly used to invert the bit reversal? 6- Is there any other advice anyone can give to someone just starting out in DSP? Any information would be appreciated. Steve Christenson |
