Attached distclean.patch which cleans lib-src/FileDialog/config.h on
The second file is autogen.sh. It should be placed in the base directory
and made executable. Then you can just run ./autogen.sh to regenerate
configure instead of calling a bunch of scripts.

No. The distclean target deletes everything that shouldn't be included
in the source code when distributing it. It's more aggressive than "make
clean" in that it removes the files created by the configure step, as
well as those created by make.

No, because users who only do a single build from a source tarball, or
from SVN without changing things won't need to remove those files. The
main purpose of the distclean target is that it gets run as part of
creating the source tarballs for releases to ensure that no generated
files are included.
