(Oops. I noticed too late that you want bugs submitted here instead of
the Sourceforge Bug Reporter. Sorry.)
Starting with v1.1.3, the cursor quickly scrolls to the end of the track
when using playback. The actual audio playback is fine; it's just the
audio *cursor* with incorrect behavior.
This applies to all the publicly released versions since v1.1.3 up to
and including v1.2.0rc3 and the CVS of Jan 13, 2004.
Yesterday, I noticed that if I removed ALSA and reverted back to OSS,
the cursor problem goes away. See this thread for details:
My system is a generic whitebox with a 1GhZ Athlon and built in Via
soundcard. I'm currently running Fedora Core 1 with all patches applied.
The ALSA I was running is version 1.01. The OSS driver that I am now
running is the via82cxxx driver module.
I noticed that there are quite a few other postings about this in the
user and help lists as well. The only other bug report I found that may
be related to this is bug #829774 in the Bug Reporter.
