Direct Sound Host with stereo mix/

I can confirm that in 2.0.3 direct sound isn't working correctly on my computer - windows 8 realtek sound:
- mme is fine..
- direct sound with primary sound driver and primary sound capture is ok. However if I select specific input device or output device, then input slider goes to max and greys out. Only way of unsticking slider is to change back to mme.

I just want to add to this.
I've now tried 2.0.3 on both windows 7 and 8 using a realtek sound chip. Note that the problems are not confined to stereo mix, and are slightly different in 7 and 8,
In windows 7:
-If host is set to mme, all is fine.
-If I then change to direct sound, all is initially fine.
-If I change any of: input, output, channels, then input slider becomes unavailable.
-only way of making slider available again is to change to mme
In windows 8:
-if host is set to mme, all is fine.
-if input and out are set to primary devices and I change to direct sound, all is initially fine.
-If I then change any of input, output, channels, then input slider becomes unavailable.
-if either input or or output is not set to primary, then if I change from mme to direct sound, then the input slider becomes unavailable.
- only way of making slider available again is to switch to mme

I don't think that 2.0.3 should be released with this bug.
