I did read the link you sent me.  I do not have a folder with a name like "project_data."  Can I still do it in this manner. All I see is the many audio files that are in audacity format.  I am sorry this  is taking a few emails, please bear with me! I am new at this.  Do I need to rerecord in a project? I have been playing my usb turntable, and then recording, then saving at the end. Is this the correct way?
Thanks for all your help.

You do not have to join the files by hand, they are all loaded
automatically when you open the project file. If you read the link you
were sent you will see that you click on File > Export and then choose a
file, and you get a single file exported. There is a better way if you
can be bothered to read the documentation on how to use the software.
