This has not been started with my patch, so what you guessed is correct. Is this a "problem" that should be addressed, or a limitation we could live with? To tell the truth: in the current version I noticed channel naming does not work,
I will have a look at this the next days and it definitely worked in a prior version.
I started a new topic as I guessed this wasn't specific to multi-channel.

Is the problem:

1 Split Stereo Track
2 Name each channel as Left and Right
3 Make Stereo Track
4 Split Stereo Track again

then the right channel lost its "Right" designation in the name?
