Subject: [Audacity-quality] [Bug 601] Track name in waveform display yellow or black

In bug 601:

we suggest fixing the problem where displayed track name
changes from yellow to black when the track is underneath a
label track.

I'd noticed this too, however I sometimes move an audio track
below a label track to read the name, because I find the yellow
almost unreadable if it is over an unselected track background
where there is no waveform.

Meantime five people (including a vote by Ed) have asked for
a choice for the display colour (usually on the grounds that
the yellow is "ugly" or "hard to read"). If we did that it would
still be good to make the colour stick irrespective of track
position, but is there something else more intelligent we can
do, so that the chosen colour is reasonably visible in all
waveform or spectrogram situations?

Like a partly transparent background for the name so that
the name can always be seen?

Or the colour adjusts according to its background?
