Suppose I have values stored on edges. When I run a metric on nodes (I have tried it with Degree and Eccentricity), I get values set on nodes as expected, and values I had on edges are reset to 0. I expected the plug to simply ignore edge values and leave them as is.

There might be a reason why this is the right way to go.

Hi Guy,

That issue has already been spotted (see bug #837).
It has been fixed in the current svn code line (commit #11491)
and will not appear anymore in the future 4.10 release.
