Not sure whether this is a big or a feature request,
I am surprised one cannot visualize a scatterplot on edge metrics. This would prove quite useful. For now, one needs to build a side graph, where nodes map to edges of the original graph.

This problem is now fixed in the current svn code line (commit #10646);
the corresponding feature will be available in the next Tulip 4.7 release.
