When running aTunes 2.0.1 on Fedora 13 x64 I am noticing a large amount of memory use (~200mb). I checked htop to see what was going on and I found 57 identical java/atunes processes running, each consuming 8.5% memory? The math doesn't work so I'm sure that's not accurate but the memory use does seem excessive. Is this normal? I believe I'm ruinning Java 1.6. I've attached a screenshot of htop.

Well, the screenshot is useless because of the file size limit so here's a link to it:

Amount of memory depends on repository size mainly. A use of 200MB could be normal with a large repository.

Anyway there should be only one java process running aTunes. How are you executing aTunes?. With .sh provided? That number of processes is just after you run aTunes or it's increasing with time?
