    Hi oldlamer,

Just tried ATPad after getting sick of a serious bug in NoteTab. Looking good
so far, thanks for making it available.

I did find a couple of issues:

Bug: Spaces colour doesn't stick - eg. I set it to blue, after I close &
    restart AT it's red again.

Issue: customisable hyperlink colour would be very useful. I've set a black
background, and the dark blue hyperlinks are almost invisible on it.

Issue: when I launch AT via a keyboard shortcut, its window doesn't put itself
into the foreground. ie. it starts up behind other windows. That's unusual and
    annoying.

Issue: I use "ALT + F, then S" to quickly save documents. This works in all my
apps, but not in AT. The problem is the S stroke, it doesn't select and
execute 'Save' as it normally does. This would be really helpful as I do this
    without thinking.

Ideally: a custom colour selector, ie. where you can manually set
    hue/saturation/brightness with sliders (or even just R, G, B). I'm a tweaker
and like my colours to be perfect.

Finally I'm not keen on the gradients on the UI - it would be nice if they
could be disabled (just flat colour).

    1. I added the accelerator keys for myself, into my own copy.
(I'll send you the copy, if you trust me :), or you can do it yourself with ResourceHacker.exe)
This is a sample of de-facto standard of editor program's menu:

This one shows how to work with resourceHacker.exe, + some of my changes:

2nd, the gradient theme is indeed heavy on the eyes, and also hides the underlines under the accelerator keys; Without the gradient theme, it will be:

    • faster to run and to load
    • easier on the eye
    • promote accessibility

3: I also had issues with foreground window:
I sometimes launch it, and the window is completely hidden, probably off the screen boundaries.
    Here's a workaround:
I had to press Alt+Space, which pops the control-box menu "out of nowhere", and then select Maximize. it shows the window.
