Hello, there is no need to replace ATPad under Windows 10. I'm not joking. The program works fine, but there is a little trick to translate it in another language . Once you download the language file you need, extract it into a lang folder into the main program one instead of extracting the single language file. In this way you can use the program with your favourite or native language
note, no need for win 8 setting, in current tests. I have repackaged in tests via UPX lzma it also fixes freezing and crashing by "forcing" it to be memory resident while open with nothing but "run as admin" via right click. I dont want to see this go away...but 10 years...no update, any optimization pass to CURRENT FEATURES/OS's (maybe shave a few kb off with a UI pass with current image/audio format types?) UPX64 max settings = OK (ultra brute, strip all) = 90kb exe

ATpad Win 10 fix, working Y2020-M11-D07:..... On Current win 10 Fix is...... > Right click the ATpad exe, select properties......> then the tab compatability: in it Set for Windows 8 .......+ run as admin .......+ Disable fullscreen optimizations .....+ Register for restart.
Unfortunately the great ATPad has become more and more buggy as years go by. With the Windows 10 Anniversary Update it was still usable but with the last Creators Fall Update it got even worse: it's freezing and crashing all the time, making it unusable... I did some research and have found very good replacements for it although always directed to the coding people, with several features which are, to me, just crap. I'm giving EditPad a try, it's for coding too, but it lacks something, despite to...
False positive. Check the file on VirusTotal.

Yeah, I have to do that to force W10 to recognize ATPad and so far almost everything is OK, apart from some issues, glitchy ones, probably because of lack of memory, since I noted that it had a lot of tabs open when happened... With restart of the program the situation is fine. And it's really a pity that you abandoned your creation... But, well, it's your call... Hope someone could carry on the development and support of the program... Thanks for the response and apologize for the huge delay in...

I added the accelerator keys for myself, into my own copy. (I'll send you the copy, if you trust me :), or you can do it yourself with ResourceHacker.exe) This is a sample of de-facto standard of editor program's menu: This one shows how to work with resourceHacker.exe, + some of my changes: 2nd, the gradient theme is indeed heavy on the eyes, and also hides the underlines under the accelerator keys; Without the gradient theme, it will be: faster to run and to load easier on the eye promote accessibility...
